The True Reason for the Season

Okay, this was in an email that I received and I loved it because it is TRUE and I just have to share it with everybody.

WHY JESUS IS BETTER THAN SANTA CLAUS!

Santa lives at the North Pole.
JESUS is everywhere.
Santa rides in a sleigh.
JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.
Santa comes but once a year.
JESUS is our ever present help.
Santa fills your stockings with goodies.
JESUS supplies all your needs.
Santa comes down your chimney uninvited.
JESUS stands at your door and knocks, and then enters your heart when invited.
You have to wait in line to see Santa.
JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.
Santa lets you sit on his lap.
JESUS lets you rest in His arms.
Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi little boy or girl, what's your name?"
JESUS knew our name even before we were born. Not only does He know our name, He knows our address too. He knows our history and future. He even knows how many hairs are on our heads.
Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly.
JESUS has a heart full of love.
All Santa can offer is "HO HO HO"
JESUS offers health, help and "hope."
Santa says "You better not cry".
JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you."
Santa may make you chuckle.
JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.
While Santa puts gifts under your tree.
JESUS became our gift and He died on a tree.. The cross!

Christ truly is the Reason for the Season!
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Its been a long time.........

Okay..I know it has been almost 2 months since I have posted. I honestly do not have a good reason for keeping my blog updated seems as I am on MySpace everyday and keep it current. Things have been extremely busy here in The Vern and it does not look to slow any down anytime here in the future. I can hardly believe that it is only 24 days till Christmas and 30 days until 2008. Time has flown by so fast. It seems like we were living in Kentucky just last week but it has been almost a year since we left there.

A lot has happenned in the past year. We moved; I filled in for a maternity leave for an attorney that I worked for before; Gramma, the boys & I took a trip to Texas to see Bumper (I had to do it Valerie) and his family; I got a new job; Brenten started Kindergarten; Brooklynn was born and the list could go on and on, but I won't bore you to death. We have had are ups and downs over the past year but God has shown his mercy upon us. I am thankful for all my wonderful new friends, and old. I promise to keep updated on here more often and will post some new pics.

As I leave this blog, please pray for the Jaye Roberts and her family. Jaye's only child, Allen, was killed over in Iraq this past Wednesday, Nov 28. He was a Marine and was proud to serve his Country. I remember him as a young child and all he ever wanted to be was a Marine.
